Milk and Cookies NO! Food allergies have nothing to do with weight gain. For some people, an allergic reaction to a food or food category, such as milk products, can be uncomfortable but not serious. For other people, an allergic food reaction can be life-threatening. Food allergy symptoms usually develop within a few minutes to a couple of hours after eating the allergic food.The most common food allergy signs and symptoms include:

  • Tingling or itching in the mouth
  • Wheezing, nasal congestion, trouble breathing
  • Abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting
  • Dizziness, lightheadedness,fainting
  • Swelling of the lips, face, tongue and throat or other parts of the body
  • Hives, itching or eczema
