Q: A nurse told me that blood type affects how the body responds to diet. Is this true?
A: That belief was touted in a recent popular diet book. There is no scientific evidence to support any of the claims in the book. When people lose weight on that “blood type” diet it is because they restrict their food intake, so consume fewer calories.
